My name is Shekinah. I am the first born of six with 2 beautiful sisters and three handsome brothers. I have always wanted to be a nurse ever since I was little though a doctor, even accounting. I would like to also study Information and Communication Technologies.

I started schooling as a reception at the age of four years and enrolled into grade one at Intulo Basic/Primary school at the age of six years and six months in January 2002, wrote grade seven at the same school. In 2008 I went to do grade eight at Kansenshi Basic School in 2009 (now secondary). I wrote grade nine from there in the year 2010. My dad had already stopped working by the year 2009 as a metal fabricator to answer God’s call.

When I wrote grade nine, there was no guarantee that I would continue to grade ten because there was no money and my dad kept on praying for God to intervene. Before we knew is, as it is written in Philippians 4:19 “and this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from glorious riches, which have been given to us un Christ Jesus.” He provided the money to buy and pay for everything that was to enrol me into grade ten and I started going to school on the 14 th of February 2011.

In 2012, my eleventh grade was paid due to lack of money, same for the twelfth grade in 2013. I sat for my grade twelve exams at the same school Kansenshi Secondary School. While still owing the school. I got to get my results on 19 th July, 2014 by only paying K500 from the owed money which is the certificate.

God has done a lot of countless things in my life, I cannot tell it all. Since I wrote my grade twelve exams, I never had hope that I would go back to school to re- write my failed subjects but when Pastor William, (I call him “my dad”) told me that I would be going back to school that he had friends who wants to help put Zambian children back into school. I thought it was a dream but hey! It was in reality, like really happening.

Before now, in 2017, my family got locked out of the house around 18:00 hours and Pastor William took us into his house like his own family from 15 th February to 19 th June when we moved out and we are really grateful to him.

My words are not enough to thank God so I’ll put a scripture to praise Him for what He has done for me. From the book of;

Psalms 92: 1-5

1. It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High,
2. proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,
3. to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.
4. For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
5. How great are your works, Lord, how profound your thoughts!

I really want to say thank you to God and the people who made it possible for me to go back to school. I am really grateful; I never really thought that in this world there are people who would still selflessly think of helping out the people in need. I thank you all for your and may the good Lord protect and bless you abundantly. In Jesus name, amen! Indeed God is a good, caring, loving, wonderful Father. I could go on, I want and need Him to use me according to His will so that I can also help others as he has been helping me, For Him to lead and be my pillar in everything I do with success. I was to know Him (God) more and more for Him to use me in His Kingdom, spiritually and physically.
